The 10 million revolutionaries are ready waiting for Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s final call for revolution. When caravan of revolution will take to the streets, the ruling elite will be swept away in people’s flood. The cruel rulers are establishing business empires abroad for their offspring by sucking people’s blood. There is no place for the Constitution, democracy, and law in the present system. Rather, every institution of the state is plagued by the worst dictatorship, corruption and bad governance. The restoration of the Constitution in its original form will put Pakistan back on track of socio-economic development.
These views were expressed by Basharat Aziz Jaspal, President of PAT Punjab and Fayyaz Warraich, Secretary General of PAT Punjab while presiding over a meeting held to finalise preparation for final round. In addition to divisional coordinators, Mushtaq Nonari Advocate, Mian Abdul Qadir, Zahid Ilyas Mir, Bilal Mustafvi and Hanif Sandhila were also present on the occasion.
Basharat Aziz Jaspal said that the Long March was organized after 3-week preparation and the purpose behind it was to put pressure for electoral reforms, whereas revolution march was being conducted to uproot oppressive, rotten and exploitative system. He said that wide-ranging and comprehensive reforms would be introduced in all walks of national life that would result in bringing smiles back on the disappointed faces of 18 million people. He said that the local chapters of PAT had been preparing for final phase of their struggle for last one year, adding that PAT established grass-root organizations from union council to ward level.
Basharat Aziz Jaspal said that it was a matter of a few days now and following Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s announcement of date of revolution, millions of people would take to the streets from every Tehsil and District.
Speaking on the occasion, Fayyaz Warriach said that some ministers of the present government were making boastful claims after the Model Town carnage but added that they would soon be seen to be requesting to become approver after revolution. He said that the champions of so-called democracy were rebels of the Constitution. He said that first 3-38 Articles of the Constitution obligated the government to deliver basic services and fundamental rights to the masses but it had violated the Constitution by suspending this part of the Constitution.
He said that the present system of government was anti-people and anti-democracy and the dream of people’s prosperity and progress would continue to be a pipedream in the presence of these rulers. He said that the people were being led up the garden path in the name of mega development projects, adding that the fact of the matter was that mega corruption of worth billions of rupees was being committed in these projects. He said that huge business empires were being set up in the world by sucking blood of the poor masses. He clarified that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s revolution would be constitutional and democratic.
