Nazim-e-Aala of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, emphasized that women must play their part in building a “Mustafavi” (Prophetic) society. He stated that education not only provides awareness to women but also empowers them to make important life decisions. Women, through knowledge, awareness, and training, can help purge society of exploitative behaviors.
He expressed these views while addressing the "Training of Trainers" workshop organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Lahore.
Engineer Rafiq Najam, addressing the workshop, said the core purpose of religious preaching (Da‘wah) is to guide people to the path prescribed by Allah so they may succeed in both this life and the hereafter. He noted that alongside men, women have also rendered outstanding services in this noble mission.
Head of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League’s Coordination Council, Lubna Mushtaq, spoke on the topic “The Demands of Preaching in the Modern Era and the Qualities of a Preacher.” She said that Minhaj-ul-Quran is a global religious, reformative, and revivalist movement that has always organized its preaching efforts in line with the needs of the time. She emphasized that the Qur’an honors the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with the title of “Da‘i” (preacher), highlighting the noble status of this mission. She added that a true preacher must speak only truth and goodness and should convey to others what they have learned.
She also highlighted the importance of the “Irfan-ul-Hidayah” department, noting that extensive courses and activities will be conducted to promote Qur’anic understanding and connect people with its teachings.
Member of the Coordination Council, Irshad Iqbal, stated that the core aim of the training is to ensure that women who learn from it can effectively pass on their knowledge to grassroots levels. She emphasized that preaching is not just a communal obligation (Fard-e-Kifayah), but an individual duty (Fard-e-Ain), and every worker must consider themselves a preacher and act accordingly.
Other speakers at the workshop included Saima Noor (Member, Coordination Council), Abdul Sattar Minhaji (Director Social Media), and other leaders, who also shared their insights.
