Intra-Party Elections of Pakistan Awami Tehreek to Begin on November 10
Senior leader of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Khurram Nawaz Ghandapur, has submitted his nomination papers for the position of Secretary General in the party’s intra-party elections. He officially submitted the documents before the Election Committee at the party's central secretariat in Model Town, Lahore. Other leaders, party workers, and candidates of Pakistan Awami Tehreek were also present during this occasion.
According to the Intra-Party Election Committee, the scrutiny of all candidates’ nomination papers will be carried out according to the scheduled timeline, and the final list of candidates will be released on November 1, 2025. The intra-party elections will commence on November 10 and continue until November 16, 2025. These elections will be conducted in multiple phases, including the election of officials at district, provincial, and central levels.
As per the intra-party schedule, the first phase will include elections for central, central Punjab, and Lahore officials, which will be held on November 10, 2025 (Sunday) at the central secretariat. The last date for submission of nomination papers is October 14, 2025, and the final list of candidates will be issued on November 1, 2025.
The Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s Intra-Party Election Commission has completed all arrangements to ensure that the election process is transparent and well-organized. Secretary of the Intra-Party Election Commission PAT, Sardar Ghazanfar Hussain Advocate, stated that these intra-party elections are crucial for promoting democratic values and strengthening the organizational structure. The elections will be conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission.
Polling for the Karachi and Islamabad regions will take place on November 11, 2025. Polling for the Hazara region will be held on November 12, 2025. For the Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and South Punjab regions, polling will be held on November 13, 2025. The polling for the Gilgit-Baltistan region will take place on November 14, 2025. Polling for the interior Sindh region will be held on November 15, 2025. In the final phase, polling for the Northern Punjab region will be held on November 16, 2025.
