Minhaj Women League Oslo Hosts Spiritually Uplifting Mawlid al-Nabi ﷺ Gathering, Celebrating the Noble Character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Mrs. Basima Hassan Qadri delivered the keynote lecture at grand celebration of Mawlid al-Nabiﷺ.

In the luminous month of Rabi-ul-Awal, Minhaj Women League Oslo organized a gathering of exceptional spiritual magnitude at Minhaj-ul-Quran Oslo on the 28th of September, as devoted souls came together to celebrate the birth of the Best of Creation, our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This sacred gathering, attended by over 500 women, from seniors to youth, and children, was not only a celebration of the blessed birth of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ but also a heartfelt reflection upon his celestial character and conduct. Among the attendees were sisters from the Minhaj Sisters League Norway, Minhaj Halaqa-i-Durood Norway, Minhaj Women League Drammen, and Minhaj Women League Kløfta. They participated and collaborated in the event, contributing to its practical execution, while enhancing the atmosphere with their stage performances and adding a special touch to the program. The theme Akhlaq-e-Mustafa ﷺ called the attendees to embody the impeccable ethics of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, whose radiant persona continues to illuminate the hearts of people.

The event commenced with an official opening which was conducted by sister Sajila Asghar, general secretary of Minhaj Women League Oslo and sister Moeena Zubair, previous president of Minhaj Women League Drammen, who warmly welcomed the participants to the celebration of our Beloved Prophet ﷺ. Their efforts helped create an atmosphere of unity and spiritual reflection. After the official opening, we transitioned to the beautiful recitation of Surah Ad-Duha by sister Farah Batool. The recited verses, followed by a translation in Urdu by sister Sadia Sadaqat, served as a powerful reminder of the Holy Quran’s timeless relevance and its direct connection to the noble life of the Prophet ﷺ, whose every word and action was a living embodiment of the commands of Allah swt.

A heart-touching hamd followed by sister Javeria Yousaf resounded through the gathering, lifting the souls of the attendees toward a heightened state of spiritual connection with Allah swt. Then a session of captivating Mehfil-e-Naat in honor of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ brought waves of spiritual ecstasy to the gathering. These heartfelt odes, delivered by the talented sisters in the Junior group, Javeria Yousaf, Mehvish Manan, Amna Zafar, Fatima Zafar, Malaika Arif, Hajrah Batool, Hira Khan, and Ruqaya Begum, celebrated the virtues of the Prophet ﷺ with such grace and beauty that tears of love cascaded freely from the audience.

The highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by our esteemed chief guest, Mrs Basima Hassan Qadri, whose presence brought grace and significance to the gathering. Her speech focused on Akhlaq-e-Mustafa ﷺ — the noble character of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ and illuminated how he embodied the Quranic ideal of moral perfection, standing as a model of mercy, justice, and love. With eloquence and depth, she expounded upon how the Prophet ﷺ consistently preserved the dignity and emotions of others, demonstrating compassion and respect in all his dealings.

The Prophet’s ﷺ immense concern for the trials and difficulties faced by those around him was a testament to his unparalleled mercy. It was through this profound compassion that people found comfort and serenity in his blessed presence. Mrs Basima Hassan Qadri also shared several hadith that exemplified his exalted conduct. These narrations highlighted how the Prophet ﷺ never caused discomfort to those in his company, always offering gracious and merciful solutions to their needs. Even in moments of light-hearted interaction, his intent was never to belittle, but to uplift others, instilling within them confidence, dignity, and a sense of self-worth.

The conclusion of her speech underscored that the Prophet ﷺ set the ultimate standard for moral conduct. The essence of his teachings lies in honoring the feelings and dignity of others — seemingly small acts of kindness that are often overlooked in our daily lives. These gestures, when practiced, cultivate an environment where respect, peace, and compassion can thrive. This is the noble message and core mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Minhaj Women League: to promote respect, love, and harmony, and to bridge divides while bringing hearts closer together in the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and unity.

Through Mrs Basima Hassan Qadri’s heartfelt and spiritually enriching words, the audience was left inspired to emulate the noble qualities of the Prophet ﷺ and to carry forward the mission of spreading love, peace, and mercy in their own lives.

The President of Minhaj Women League Oslo, sister Samina Ishaq, presented an inspiring presentation on Minhaj Women League`s activities, which are dedicated to the spiritual, intellectual, and social upliftment. Her words encouraged the attendees to engage in the organization's efforts, fostering a sense of collective growth and empowerment within the community. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the esteemed guests who graced the gathering with their presence and expressed her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who dedicated their time and efforts, day and night, to ensure the success of the event. Furthermore, she humbly acknowledged deep respect and appreciation for the valuable contribution of our honored guest, Mrs Basima Hassan Qadri, who truly elevated the program through her enlightening presence and profound keynote speech, inspiring all in attendance to strive for greater spiritual and moral excellence.

One of the most joyous moments of the event was the drawing of an Umrah ticket. As Durood continued to be recited, the name of the fortunate individual was announced, filling the gathering with collective joy and excitement. The winner was granted the blessed opportunity to visit the sacred cities of Makkah and Madinah, a moment of profound spiritual significance for all present.

The event was crowned with a heartfelt dua by sister Ayesha Khan, General Secretary of Minhaj Dialogue Forum Norway, beseeching Allah for His boundless mercy upon the ummah, and for the protection and peace of the entire world. This was followed by the recitation of Salaam upon the Prophet ﷺ, which brought the gathering into a state of deep spiritual serenity and connection with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

A ceremonial cake cutting was held, accompanied by the continuous recitation of durood. The sequence of the cake-cutting was beautifully arranged, and all guests were given the honor to partake in this joyous occasion alongside our chief guest, Mrs Basima Hassan Qadri. It was a moment of unity, love, and celebration for all attendees.

The event concluded with the serving of food, during which the participants reflected on the immense spiritual blessings they had experienced. Conversations were filled with gratitude, love for the Prophet ﷺ, and a renewed determination to walk the path of righteousness as exemplified by the Beloved ﷺ.

The Mawlid al-Nabi ﷺ event was an embodiment of love, devotion, and spiritual elevation. Through the speech and the different segments, the hearts of the attendees were drawn closer to Allah and His Beloved Messenger ﷺ. The gathering was a reminder of the everlasting beauty of the Prophet’s ﷺ character, his mercy, and his role as the perfect model for all of humanity.
