Women Training Itikaf 2009: Fifth Day

On 16th September, 2009 the fifth day of Itikaf commenced again with the same blissful routine of the melodious recitation of Durood-o-Salam that has become the daily routine. There is a feeling among ladies what will they do when Itikaf ends, they go back home and get busy in domestic chores. They say they are capturing the Durood melody in their hearts to pass their days after Itikaf. The credit for these feelings goes to the most dedicated performance of the Sunna and Salat Committee. They chant Durood-o-Salam so ardently one cannot help feeling moved. That is how the ‘mu’takifat’ got up today for their Tahajjud prayer.

They had already spent the preceding night fully awake due to a long and captivating Mehfil-e-Na’at. So, after spending an odd night of Itikaf in most blissful worship and devotion, they took Sahri, offered Fajr prayer and had a deep slumber. When they got up they were closing down to the time for Salat-ut-Tasbih in the assembly area.

After Salat-ut-Tasbih Mohtarma Fatima Mash`hadi President Women League, Mohtarma Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate Nazima Women League and Mohtarma Sajida Sadiq held Tarbiyyati meeting with the sisters of Tanzimat from Quetta, Sialkot, Gojra, Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Okara, Sambaryal, Pattoki, Shaykhupura, Waziarabad, Alipur Chattha, and Kamalia Tehseelat. In the meeting they discussed:

  1. Working plan and its effective implementation
  2. The priorities and the achievement of targets
  3. How effectively we can attain the targets of wabastagi and rafaqat.
  4. The Tanzimat from these cities were re-organized as well.
  5. New Tanzimat were also formed in some cities.
  6. Guide line was given to the Tanzimat how the annual performance may be enhanced, targets can be achieved and Tanzim-sazi work can be expanded and stabilized.

After Salat-ut-Tasbih Mohtarma Farha Naz Ex Nazima Women League delivered a lecture to the ‘mu’takifat’ on the versatile personality of the Quaid-e-Tehreek and distributed among them the introductory literatute about Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran and the Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League. He said during her discourse that you become stronger when you join a party or Jama’a. Then you become so strong that nothing can break you away or separate from it. Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran is the only universal and all-encompassing Tehreek. It is working in all directions and achieving its coveted targets all over the globe.

Mohtarma Fareeha Khan Nazima Dawat spoke on the objectives and targets of Dawat. Delivering her talk she said that nothing can be achieved until and unless the objective is kept in view all the time. She repeated the saying of the Quaid that a Daa’i cannot become a Daa’i until he bears testimony to what he says. Ex Nazima Tarbiyyat Mohtarma Iffat Waheed explained to the ‘mu’takifat’ the methods of making wudu, the differences between the methods of offering prayer by males and females and discussed with the ‘mu’takifat’ some of the issues related to Islamic jurisprudence. She also answered questions asked by the audience.

This was followed by Dars in Halaqa-Jaat. Today’s Dars included Verse No. 35 to 40 of Sura Noor and encompassed the miracles of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) that became manifest before the declaration of the Bestowal of Prophethood was made.

Later the Sunna and Salat Committee called all the room heads and the discipline committee and held meeting with them. They were briefed on observing the polite and pleasing manners and sweetening speech with the ‘mu’takifat’. They were also made realize the pleasure Allah Almighty has granted us to be at the service of those who have adopted retreat for Allah and are busy day and night purifying themselves to attain to His nearness. This is a unique service and we are absolutely lucky to find this opportunity to serve His ‘mu’takifat’. They emphasized to invoke peace on ‘mu’takifat’ and keep the tongues wet with the devotions: Subhan Allah, Al-Hamdulillah, Allah-o-Akbar. Recitation of Durood should continue all the time and we should ask others as well to do that and act upon the Sunna of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him). A Mehfil-e-Na’at was organized after Asr prayer. The Na’at Council from Aziz Bhatti Town presented beautiful nasheeds and filled the hearts of the ‘mu’takifat’ with love and devotion for the Beloved Messenger of Allah. Later the routine of Iftaari, evening prayer and Isah and Tarawih prayers followed.
