First Tarbiyyah Session on Tahara by Mustafavi Sisters in Itikaf 2025

Mustafavi Sisters organized a pivotal tarbiyyah session focusing on the comprehensive concept of “Tahara” (purity). Dr. Farah Naz, President of MWL International, delivered an insightful discourse, expanding the traditional understanding of Tahara beyond mere fiqh-related issues. The session commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat, setting a spiritually charged atmosphere.

Dr. Farah Naz explained that humans are inherently pure, but Shaytan's influence introduces impurity, leading to negative energies, nazr (evil eye), and sahar (magic). She stressed the connection between physical, emotional, and mental impurity and the attraction of negative energies. This impurity can manifest as a loss of interest in prayer and strained relationships.

She explained that people who are pakeeza (pure) and nafees (refined) are often emotionally stronger, as they are less susceptible to negative influences. She cited Surah Tawbah, emphasizing Allah's commendation of those who maintain high standards of Tahara. Slides were also presented featuring insights from Dr. Tahir ul Qadri's lectures on Tahara.

Notably, the session incorporated scientific correlations, linking clean environments to productivity and well-being, while disorganization was associated with depression. Ultimately, the session presented Tahara as a holistic lifestyle, vital for both spiritual and worldly success.
