Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri addressed the participants of the Minhaj Sisters al-Tazkiya retreat today and spoke on what the essence of Tazkiya actually is and what the process of al-Tazkiya can do for a person.

Shaykh-ul-Islam described the nature of how Allah SWT created the human being, and the fact that we have innate capacity for both good and evil.

He went on to add that Allah SWT has set a trial and test in this life for us all, when Shaytaan promised to lead humans astray.

Describing this key event, Shaykh-ul-Islam explains that Shaytaan displayed acts of evil including arrogance and revenge and promised to lead astray everyone except the purified souls. The purified ones are the ones who have undertaken the process of Tazkiya in their life and he went on to explain that this is the objective of the al-Tazkiya retreat.

He further stated that it's important to remain clear and always have clarity in your intention so you remain determined. Each one of us has been given the capacity to understand and distinguish between virtue and vice, and Tazkiya gives you clarity, and therefore pure conduct and behaviour.

Shaykh-ul-Islam prayed for all participants and wished it to become easy for all those who attended al-Tazkiya retreat to begin the process of purification in their lives.
