Under the auspices of the "Woice" Department of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, an Iftar dinner was organized to honor home-based workers, and Eid gifts were distributed among them.
The special guest at the event was Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri. The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Lahore College for Women University Dr. Shagufta Naz, Maneeba Khawar Shahzad, Dr. Sophia Rahman, Khadija Nasir Butt, Dr. Nabeha Ali Khan, Central Vice President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Sidra Karamat, Ayesha Mubashir, Umm-e-Habiba Ismail, Sana Waheed, Dr. Shazia Butt, Dr. Javeria Hassan, Raffia Arooj Malik, Lubna Mushtaq, Rukhsana Faiz, and Maryam Iqbal among others.
Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri, while expressing her thoughts on the occasion, said that women are great individuals who not only manage their household affairs but also actively participate in economic activities and work hard for the well-being of their families and children.
She said that the affluent members of society should extend their helping hand to such deserving and determined women and provide them with possible assistance to uplift them.
Dr. Shagufta Naz remarked that organizing Iftar dinners in honor of home-based workers is a delightful tradition. Throughout the month, Iftar dinners are organized in honor of distinguished personalities and women, but organizing an Iftar dinner in honor of hardworking and determined women is a commendable initiative by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League.In her comments, Maneeba Khawar Shahzad said that organizing an Iftar dinner in honor of home-based workers is a pleasant tradition. She said that Minhaj-ul-Quran has always played a splendid religious role in the education, upbringing, and economic well-being of women. She said that educational institutions of Minhaj-ul-Quran are a great source of employment for women.
The guest women also visited the women's city of Itikaf and congratulated the organization on the excellent arrangements.
