In a session hosted by MSM Sisters - Official department of MWL on the second day of the Women Itikaf 2024, Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri led an insightful discourse on the stages of a spiritual journey, explaining key concepts rooted in Islamic teachings and exemplified by the lives of the Awliyah (saints).
Tawba (Repentance), the cornerstone of spiritual progression, was elaborated upon with depth and clarity. Mrs. Fizzah emphasized the role of repentance in seeking divine forgiveness and initiating a transformative journey towards spiritual enlightenment. Delving into the significance of fulfilling the rights of Allah (Huqooq-ul-Allah), Mrs. Fizzah said that mere performance of religious rituals is insufficient without genuine sincerity (niyyah).
She emphasized the importance of treating fellow human beings with kindness, empathy, and compassion. Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri articulated the inseparable link between moral conduct and spiritual growth and highlighted the significance of embodying virtues such as honesty, patience, and generosity, emphasizing that exemplary character is not only a reflection of faith but also a means of pleasing the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
In her talk, she offered practical guidance for attendees to maximize the benefits of their Itikaf experience. She encouraged participants to integrate the lessons learned into their daily lives, fostering a continuous journey of spiritual growth and self-improvement beyond the confines of the Itikaf retreat.
President MSM Sisters Sr Amina Mughal and her entire executive team were hosting the session and facilitated the session. The session was attended by hundreds of female young Mutakifa'at, including students and scholars, who have joined MSM Sisters Itikaf.
