In his message on the death anniversary of Hazrat Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.), the mother of the believers, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the life and character of Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) will continue to inspire women till the Day of Judgment and will be a beacon of light for them. Her revered personality is an example of piety and selfless sacrifice and a complete role model for women around the world. He asked the women to rethink their lives in line with the pious life of Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.).
Meanwhile, Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) Conference was held to mark her death anniversary under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League.
Addressing the conference, Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri said that it was Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) who accepted the invitation of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and became his companion. She not only embraced Islam earlier than others but also dedicated her life and wealth to the service of Islam. She was a great life partner of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) who shared his happiness and sorrow and comforted him during challenging times.
Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri said that Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) is also known through various titles. She not only endorsed the prophethood when it was revealed upon the Holy Prophet (pbuh) but also supported Islam at every turn till the last breath of her life.
Mrs. Farah Naz, central president of MWL, stated in her speech at the conference that Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) is a unique personality in the history of Islam, and her sacrifices for the cause of Islam have acquired the status of a legend. Central General Secretary Ms. Sidra Karamat said in her speech that Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) was known through her titles of Tahira and Sayyida-e-Quraysh before she became the wife of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). She stood by the Holy Prophet (pbuh) through thick and thin and played a supportive role in the spread of Islam.
Ms. Anila Ilyas Dogar, naib Nazima, said that the love that Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.) had for the Holy Prophet (pbuh) can be gauged from the fact that the Prophet of Islam (pbuh) described the year of her death as the "year of grief". She said that we should follow these revered personalities to present the peaceful and bright face of Islam to the world. She said that the way to regain the lost glory lies in following such blessed personalities as Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (R.A.).
Ayesha Mubashir, Hafiza Sahr Ambreen, Umme Habiba Ismail, Sadia Ahmad and other women also spoke at the conference.
