Minhaj Sisters and Minhaj Dawah Project under the supervision of Alama Hafiz Habib Qureshi of Minhaj ul Quran International Crawley organised a great Mawlid-un-Nabiﷺ event on Sunday 13th January 2019.

The event included recitation of the Holy Quran, beautiful naats, nasheed and poetry by many sisters and young children. Minhaj ul Salehaat performed a special nasheed.

Sister Khadijah Atkinson gave an enlightened talk attributed to Dr Ghazala Hassan Qadri’s speeches from the Tazkiya Camp 2018 on spiritual awakening and awareness. The audience was invited to consider their own spiritual state.

Sister Khadija used the beautiful analogy from Shaykh ul-Islam regarding dust falling on a glass coffee table, and this being likened to the condition of the heart which can be impacted by the unseen and unknown behaviours, as we don’t see the actual dust landing on the table we only see the impact of the dust. Similarly, the same is with our hearts - we are in need of spiritual cleansing.

The audience was encouraged to listen to the three day lectures delivered by Dr Ghazala Hasan Qadri. Practical guidance was given using the Decision Matrix Model [Br Umar Mirza of Denmark's workshop] around implementation of becoming proactive in our daily lives. The participants were encouraged to join Minhaj Sisters to work for the Deen to help wipe away the dust from the 'glass tables.’ Sister Khadijah Atkinson ended with the worlds of Shaykh ul Islam “live in this world, but don’t let this world live in you”.

Sister Faiza Qadri delivered an inspiring speech in Urdu. She mentioned that in this era we should strengthen our faith in Almighty Allah and the Holy Prophet ﷺ. She reminded the audience that it is vital to have the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ embedded in our hearts by acting upon His Sunnah.

A book stall was set up by the Minhaj Dawah Project Team and free literature of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was distributed. The participants were introduced to the latest works of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

The event concluded with Dhikr and a heartfelt Dua.
