By the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) and His Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) Minhaj-ul-Quran Women and Sisters League (The Hague, Netherlands) organized a Mehfil e Milad-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) in the centre of The Hague. The program took place on 9th of December and started at 2pm. More than 200 women attended this program.
The program was hosted by sister Asma Afzal. She welcomed everyone and thanked the audience for attending the event. She did not only host the program but uplifted every one with beautiful different hadiths and different short naats. Everyone was given an opportunity to recite a naat.
The program started with a tilawat by sister Ayesha Ahmed. Different sisters and aunties recited a naat and showed their love for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). During the program 2 short lectures were delivered. First lecture was by Amna Ahmad, a young sister of Minhaj Sister League The Hague. She gave a beautiful short lecture in Urdu and explained about the status of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
After this lecture Mahnoor Shah and Noreen Malik hosted a quiz for the audience representing the Minhaj Sisters League. The questions were picked from the 33rd Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference speech of Dr. Tahir ul Qadri, shown at the beginning. The guests were given gifts whenever a good answer was presented.
The main lecture was by sister Bushra Riaz from Spain. She is the president of Minhaj Women League Europe. She explained in a beautiful way how to act and work for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and to celebrate the beautiful month of Milaad. She highlighted the duty of women in this time where the Islam is negatively labelled in the eyes of the world. She mentioned various examples in the past where women had an important role and responsibility. The main message of the lecture was to support your religion, whatsoever your status is. Show the world a good example of a Muslim woman with pride. Her final message was towards the mothers in the room. Take your children to these programs and help them make their Imaan steadfast.
At the end, the aunties of Women League gifted shawls to all the aunties who helped serve the food for the past 15 days of Milaad. Fehmida Mahmood ended the program with recitation of Salaam and the Dua was done by baji Ayesha Qadri.
Food was served at the end. It was a successful program with positive feedback from the women and sisters who were present.
