UK: Muharram Conference held under banner of MWL Glasgow

Glasgow Minhaj Women League held a successful Muharram Conference in the remembrance of Sayyedina Imam e Hussain (R.A.). The programme was attended by the youth and ladies. About 240 people attended the conference. The conference was led by Sister Shazia who was the Stage Secretary who enlightened everyone's heart and gave an insightful talk during the conference.

Tilawat was recited by a young student of Minhaj Glasgow Shariah class. A short talk in English was delivered by Ifra Khalid in the remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam e Hussain (R.A.). Manqabat was recited beautifully by MYL member Maheen-ul-Huq, Shariah class students, Sister Ghuzala Munir and Sister Roohi.

Main English speech was made by student of Institute of Classical Islamic Sciences and the President of Muslim Youth League Sister Sweba Majid Khan who shed some light on how Yazeed is not amongst the believers.

Sister Shazia Bano, MWL Glasgow General Secretary, spoke about the mission of MQI and invited the attendees to become members of the esteemed and noble mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

Main Urdu speech was delivered by Sister Tasnim Baber who is a Hafiza and the Dawah e Tarbiyah Secretary. She spoke about the sacrifices of Sayyedina Imam e Hussain as to how he sacrificed everything to revive the religion of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).

Sister Tasnim Baber concluded the Mehfil with a heart touching Dua and Salaam.
