UK: Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League holds Meena Bazaar 2013

London( Mozzam Raza) By the Grace of Almighty Allah, the reconstituted team of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (London) held a cultural programme called ‘Mina Bazaar’. The programme started at 12:30 pm in Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran London, Romford Road. The day consisted of various activates, ranging from Henna Mehndi by Aneesa Tanveer to food supervised by Mrs Nusrat Mahmood (President Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League London).

The aim of the event was to attract sisters to Minhaj-ul-Quran, and deny the thought that Islam does not allow entertainment. Stalls included clothing stalls by Mrs Gulzar Hussain, Mrs Nuzhat Pervaz, jewellery stall by Mrs Zareeda Shafiq, Trumbola was managed by Mrs Naseem Akhtar, her daughter and granddaughters. The cake sale and decorating stalls was organized by the young Muslim youth League sisters who raised 156 pounds. The Minhaj book stall by Mrs Farida Dar and the Minhaj Dawah Project stall was set up by Mrs Humera Ali, Mrs Gul Noreen and Mrs Badria Gani offering Books, DVDs and CDs of lectures delivered by his eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri of various topics including Irfan-ul-Quran, Bid’ah, Waseela, The Rights of the husband and wife, The signs of Qiyamah and most importantly the Fatwa condemning Terrorism and Suicide Bombings. As well as distributing the CDs and DVDs of lectures, the aims and objectives of Minhaj-ul-Quran were discussed by Mrs Ruksana Sarfaraz (General Secretary Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League London) and sisters were happy to give their contact details for future events.

The children were delighted to have their faces painted by Mrs Kiran Shoab, and enjoyed having the bouncy castle managed by Nasra Raza, Noreen Afshan and Asia Ghulam Nabi. The women also had a variety of home-made foods available from variety of rice, Chaat, Pasta, Sweet Corn, and Chocolate Fountain to Mini Pizzas and Rice. It turned out to be fun and successful day with everyone clearly enjoying themselves immensely. Especially, the kids running around with Sweets, Drinks, and Crisps on the stall by Mrs Mahfooz Khalid, balloons, Card making Competition, Cakes and melted chocolate fruits & Marshmallows from the chocolate fountain managed by Bismah Ali and Tasmia Kamal. Minhaj Women League also had the presence of Sister Fatima Mash’hadi, president of Minhaj Women League UK who did dua and thanked all sisters for their hard work.
