MWL participates in The Noor-ul-Islam Summer Fete

With the blessings of Allah Almighty and His Beloved Prophet (SAW), Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, (Walthamstow, London) set up a stall at the Noor ul Islam Summer Fete, which took place in The Leyton Youth Centre on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of June 2012.

With guidance from the MWL, London President Mrs Zareda Shafiq, Mrs Rukhsana Safraz and her team consisting of Nosheen Zahid, Kiran Shoaib, and Safina Nur Mohammed made all the necessary arrangements of booking and setting up the stalls at the three-day event. This was new territory and so a very new experience for the Women’s League as this annual event attracted thousands of people from all sections of society. Mrs Rukhsana Safraz and her team set up a face painting stall, a clothes stall, a book stall and a dawah stall offering free CDs of lectures delivered by his eminence Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri. The participants also discussed the ways and means to increase community cohesion by promoting interaction through the conduct of such programmes. They mooted different suggestions in this regard. They also appreciated Minhaj ul Qur’an International for its unwavering struggle to promote peace, harmony and interfaith dialogue. The Women’s League had a successful event and are happy that the message of MQI reached those ears that were unaware or either had a different opinion of our mission.
