On October 21, 2010, local chapter of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Kamonki was reorganized. Ms. Sajida Sadiq, Naib Nazima of Women League, was the chief guest on the occasion. The ceremony was also attended by old and new office holders of MWL, besides a large number of women from the area.

The proceedings of the programme got underway with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Sajida Sadiq said that women have huge responsibility to play their role for the promotion of peace and harmony in the society. Unless they organize themselves, they cannot play effective role, nor can they safeguard their rights. She said that MQI under the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is striving for women rights and carving an honourable place for them in the society. She asked the women to recognize their responsibilities and play their due role in this regard. The local body of MWL was then reorganized and the programme ended on Dua.
